Located near the active commercial and cultural axis of Granville Street and Broadway, this 743 m² building has been designed to be an integral part of the neighbourhood activities, and to enhance urban life. In this small and constrained property, three residential units on the upper levels have been woven with the commercial/office component, each keeping their independence in terms of access and exiting.
Visibility from the Granville corridor has been an important factor of design, and along with the adjacent hydro transformers has influenced the proportion of curtain wall galzing within the exposed concrete elevation. From all points within the building, there are expansive views which include Granville Street, the downtown core, and the mountains beyond. Sustainable features such as a natural ventilation system, and solar collectors will help achieve LEED Silver.
