ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT & DESIGN APPROACH
The building is situated beside a natural fault line that runs diagonally across the northeast corner of the site. This angular line through the ground is celebrated
and has been taken up as the inspiration for the design language for the project. By changing the exterior balcony line and slab edges as they go up the tower,
an ever changing organic form is created. This simple movement and break of the straight line is manifested in all elements of the design. Sharp angles and rhythmic
movements are employed for contrasting plan elements while bright and crisp materials play with sun and shadow. The urban design approach was to minimize the impact on the ground plane. Public urban open spaces are proposed on the south and northeast corner.
